My first band MTS (the Most Terrible Sound) was at technical college in The Hague, the Netherlands:
In 1970 i formed my first touring band with bassist Pim van der Zwaan playing original material written by Ron Witte, Pim and me:
followed with some of my new band's song recordings at the EMI studios:
before starting my first Canadian band Dutch Touch a few years later (which was eventually renamed the Nater brothers when my brother Martin joined me at this time):
In 2003 i joined the Grayceful Daddies:

Then i formed Rizing Tide with bassist Don Loney, singer Pauline Nault and singer/rhythm guitar player Brian McDowell in 2005:
This was followed in 2006 by:
The RNB line-up has so far included(for one, two or many more shows) Ron Nater (vocals / guitar), Brian McDowell (vocals / guitar), Richard Mattson (guitar / saxophone / harmonica / vocals), Robert Davis (harmonica / guitar / vocals), Brian Thomas (vocals / guitar), Pat Greisberg (guitar / vocals), Paul Zurin (keys / vocals), Eric Walker (keys / vocals), Andrew Borkowski (keys / vocals), Pauline Nault (vocals), Neil Kitagawa (saxophone), Don Loney (bass), Robert Thomas (bass / vocals), Mark Villmann (bass), Bruce Stolz (drums), Terry Kavanagh (drums / vocals), Peter Griffin (drums), Carl Spiteri (drums), Ro Shakoor (drums / vocals), Paul Beaulieu (drums) - with Andrés González and Agustina Merlo joining the current RNB line-up on bass 'n drums.
